Since my return to France in (late) 2021, I have been involved in university relations. 
My involvement has been directed to many different institutions: 
- as part of the zAcademy, which aims at teaching people changing jobs towards IBM Z, I've delivered a 3h presentation on Linux on IBM Z and LinuxONE.
- as part of the mainframe curriculum at EPITA, I've delivered, with a colleague, 2 half-a-day sessions, one around z/VM and virtualization, the other one around Linux on IBM Z and Hybrid Cloud technologies (based on Openshift).
- the largest involvement has been with ENSISA (Mulhouse) and Telecom Nancy, 2 high schools in the Eastern part of France, which will start its 4th season in Oct 2025.
This is part of a partnership between the schools, IBM and a client of IBM, Euro Information. As part of this partnership, we deliver a joint, one quarter long, COBOL curriculum. This curriculum is made of 7 face-to-face sessions, out of which I co-lead 2 (the introductory 4h session about mainframe , and a second 2h session about Linux on Z and mainframe modernization), the remainder being led by our colleagues from Euro Information.
In parallel to the sessions, the students are engaged in a small project in teams, which consists in developing a set of Cobol programs inspired by an actual banking usecase (reconciliating entries between a database and a flat file). At the end of their project, I evaluate the students' work through a stand and deliver presentation. The curriculum is concluded by a hands-on work, which I co-host with my colleague from IBM and E-I. 

As part of the z16 refresh for Groupama, we sold the Flexible Capacity for Cyber-Resiliency to the client. This is a feature that allows a customer to move its purchased mainframe capacity across the enterprise for as long as required (up to 365 consecutive days), overcoming the existing offerings (CBU) limitations.
Even though the capability is delivered through similar mechanisms to existing ones, it was new and setup was not entirely self-explanatory. As such, in the summer of 2023, I worked with the Client Engineering team to demonstrate the setup and use of the functionality. Together with colleagues and Product Engineering in Montpellier, I set up the required capacity records, and did a few transfers of capacity between two machines. 
This work was recorded in a video and shared with the Groupama team. The video proved self-explanatory, since Groupama successfully used the Flexible Capacity feature during their datacenter move in June 2025.
The same video has been called out during the T3 education for the z17 launch in Madrid, and has also been reused since then with 2 other clients, SG and CNAV, to which we also sold Flexible Capacity for Cyber Resiliency.

Mentoring

Since she joined our team as a new hire, I've been working closely with my colleague Yasmine
Initially, I helped her navigate the IBM company, across HR processes, career discussions and technical knowledge.
In 2023, we've been working as a team on a selected set of smaller z/OS accounts, which include Groupama.
Groupama was positioned to refresh their mainframe estate from z14 to z16. This was the opportunity for me to teach Yasmine how to perform a capacity planning study, looking at all of hardware aspects, from CP to zIIP to CBUs for DR.
We spent many hours navigating the sizing tools with customer data to derive capacity recommendations. At the end of study, Yasmine presented her findings to the client, who agreed with the analysis.
Since then, Yasmine has been autonomous to handle her client's upgrade capacity studies by herself. We still regularly synchronize (once or twice a month) to answer any questions she may have.
